Pedro Berraondo's research is focused on the development of new immunotherapy strategies for cancer treatment. He has developed therapeutic approaches to block immunosuppressive cytokines or to deliver immunostimulatory cytokines to the tumor microenvironment. These strategies rely on a wide variety of technologies, including monoclonal antibodies, bispecific antibodies, fusion proteins, viral vectors, and modified messenger RNA.
