Benedikt Berninger is Professor of Developmental Neurobiology at King’s College London. His research focuses on inducing neurogenesis in the adult brain outside of classical neurogenic niches. After doctoral studies at the Max Planck Institute of Psychiatry, he joined the University of California San Diego for postdoctoral research. In 2012 he was appointed Full Professor at the University Medical Center Mainz, and in 2018 he joined King’s. His research is supported by the Wellcome Trust and the European Research Council.
