Dr. Jordi Barquinero is a senior researcher leading the group on Gene and Cell Therapy at the Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR). After completing his residency in Internal Medicine, he was trained at the University of Louisville and the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. Back in Spain, he focused on advanced therapies for autoimmunity and preclinical gene therapy for rare diseases, fields in which he has co-authored almost a hundred original scientific publications.
